A case of neurofibrome of the duodenum was encountered recently at the department of surgery, Inchun. Christian Hospital.
The patient was 26 year old girl who had been well until prior to admission due to massive hematemesis, Tachycadia, palpitation and dizziness, which were developed abruptly.
Conservative treatment was given for the control of bleeding prior to surgery and a defect of well circumscribed tumor was seen in the lateral aspect of second portion of the duodenum in the upper GI series.
It was a neurofibroma of the duodenum and some cases of the neurofibroma of the duodenum were reported in a literature, sporadically, and only one case has been reported in Korea.
